Marchenko, Dombrovskis discuss conditions for receiving 2nd tranche from EU
According to the press service of the Ministry of Finance, Marchenko and Dombrovskis during a phone conversation discussed the implementation of reforms in Ukraine, the receipt of the second tranche as part of the EU's macro-financial assistance, and cooperation with the IMF.
The parties discussed progress in the implementation of the current agreements, which are a condition for Ukraine to receive assistance, and agreed to continue a constructive dialogue on receiving the second tranche of aid in September 2021.
As Ukrinform reported, the second tranche of the EU's macro-financial assistance will be provided to Ukraine immediately after the country takes steps to strengthen the rule of law and reform the judicial system. The first tranche of EUR 600 million was disbursed in early December 2020.
