State Property Fund expects nearly UAH 1.7B as budget revenues from privatization in H1 2021

According to Ukrinform, Deputy Head of the State Property Fund Kostiantyn Koshelenko said this at a press conference on the topic: "Privatization + Demonopolization = Economic Growth."

"In 2020, we provided almost UAH 3 billion in budget revenues through privatization. This is four times more than in 2019 and eight times more than in the same period in 2018. At that time, as of the first half of this year, the proceeds from privatization have already amounted to more than UAH 1 billion," he said.

According to him, 799 auctions were held in the first six months of this year, and the total amount is expected to reach UAH 1.665 billion. This is due to the fact that the procedure provides for a month to sign a respective contract and about a month to pay funds to the budget.

According to Koshalenko, an increase in the number of auctions and the revival of the privatization process are connected with the launch of the State Property Fund website that helps investors find all the necessary information about state-owned real estate.
