Denmark to give Ukraine about EUR 1M to modernize district heating systems
Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark Ole Egberg Mikkelsen signed an agreement on the implementation of the Ukraine-Denmark Energy Partnership Programme (UDEPP).
"The agreement provides for consulting support and technical assistance in implementing the experience of the Kingdom of Denmark on the modernization of district heating systems in Ukraine. The grant will amount to 6.4 million Danish kroner (about EUR 1 million)," reads the report.
Chernyshov noted that Denmark's experience in the field of district heating could be useful in solving industry problems in Ukraine.
Earlier, Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark Jeppe Sebastian Kofod in Vilnius signed a new five-year agreement on cooperation as part of the Ukraine-Denmark Energy Partnership Programme (UDEPP).
