Deposits of individuals in Deposit Guarantee Fund’s banks exceed UAH 616B

“As of June 1, 2021, the total amount of deposits of individuals (including private entrepreneurs) in banks-members of the Deposit Guarantee Fund amounted to UAH 616.7 billion. Out of the total deposits of individuals, hryvnia deposits totaled UAH 372.1 billion, and deposits in foreign currency amounted to UAH 244.6 billion,” reads the report.

Some 98.0% of the depositors have fully protected deposits (do not exceed UAH 200,000), which are subject to guarantees of the Fund. The total amount of these deposits is UAH 236.2 billion.

As of June 1, 2021, the share of private entrepreneurs in the structure of depositors was 3.3% and the total amount of their deposits reached UAH 52.6 billion (8.5% of the total).

As of June 1, 2021, the register of the Fund's members included 72 banks.

As reported by Ukrinform, the total amount of deposits of individuals in banks-participants of the Deposit Guarantee Fund of Ukraine amounted to UAH 621.65 billion as of May 1, 2021.
