Ukraine's GDP decreases by 2.2% in Q1 2021 – State Statistics Service

Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) in the first quarter of 2021 decreased by 2.2% compared to the first quarter of 2020, the State Statistics Service has reported.

The country's GDP decreased by 1.2% in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the previous quarter (taking into account the seasonal factor) and by 2.2% compared to the first quarter of 2020. Nominal GDP in January-March 2021 amounted to UAH 1,008.6 billion, and nominal GDP per capita was UAH 24,280.

As Ukrinform reported, Ukraine's nominal GDP in 2020 amounted to UAH 4.19 trillion, 4% less than in 2019. Ukraine's nominal GDP per capita in 2020 was UAH 100,470.
