Shmyhal: National Strategy until 2030 envisages hundreds of economic decisions

"The National Economic Strategy, along with other strategic documents, the plan for implementation of President's initiatives, the list of priority bills, and the budget declaration for 2022-2024 will form the basis of the Government's Action Program which we will submit to the Parliament this year," Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said during the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30. Economy without Oligarchs", an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The Prime Minister noted that the National Economic Strategy provided for hundreds of economic decisions that should double GDP and improve the welfare of Ukrainians within 10 years.

According to him, the Government will improve the process of preparing an action program and action plan in 2021 based on international experience.

In addition, Shmyhal noted that every initiative in the Government's Action Program was to be made sound and realistic.

The All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30. Economy without Oligarchs" will take place in Kyiv on June 14-16. In particular, on June 14, the forum participants will discuss the National Economic Strategy until 2030, which the Government approved on March 3, 2021. The document identifies strategic steps for the development of industry, agriculture, mining, infrastructure, transport, energy, information and communication technologies, creative industries, and services. The Strategy also takes into account important cross-cutting areas: digitalization, the green course, business development, and balanced regional development.
