Energy Ministry, Microsoft Ukraine sign memorandum of cooperation

The memorandum provides for the possibility of cooperation in the field of IT modernization, digitalization of information systems of institutions, and enhancement of the level of cybersecurity of enterprises in the industry. The Energy Ministry’s joint work with Microsoft will also assist the energy sector in implementing innovative technologies, analytics, and collaboration tools in the industry, exchanging expertise for the implementation of international cybersecurity programs and standards, as well as cloud technologies.

"Cooperation between the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and Microsoft is an important step for the energy sector. The introduction of innovative technologies will help boost the efficiency of the Ministry of Energy and, accordingly, improve the management of the industry as a whole. We also expect our joint work with Microsoft Ukraine to enhance the level of cybersecurity of the Ministry," Deputy Minister of Energy for Digital Development, Digital Transformations, and Digitalization Yevhen Vladimirov said, Ukrinform reports.

It is noted that Microsoft plans to continue to "cooperate with all other users, including those working in the energy sector, and implement innovations that will meet business demand for a future with zero carbon emissions."
