Kuleba: Foreign Ministry constantly seeking new outlets for Ukrainian products
“We have to produce finished goods, services and sell them in Europe, America, Asia and other parts of the world for good money. Not only will business win, but the Ukrainian state will become stronger overall. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is constantly seeking new outlets for Ukrainian products and services in foreign markets and ways to promote them,” Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said at a meeting of the Telecom Club, the Ministry’s press service informs.
He added that exporters of services and products can contact the Foreign Ministry “and say in which country they need help.”
“The two most strategic items of Ukrainian exports are agricultural products and IT. Of course, traditional metallurgical exports will remain. But exactly the two sectors I have mentioned have the prospect of exponential growth. Because, on the one hand, the world is getting hungrier and, on the other hand, the pandemic has given a boost to the telecommunications and IT market,” Kuleba said.
The minister also underlined the interest of the countries of Asia and the Gulf in the production of goods in Ukraine for further export to EU countries, given the high margin: “This is a hidden reserve of the Ukrainian economy. Whoever learns to use this opportunity, to attract money to such projects, will be able to capitalize with big profit later.”
The foreign minister also stressed the great potential of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement for business development, and said that Ukraine's integration into the EU Digital Single Market was one of the most promising areas of sectoral integration.
Telecom Club is a professional association of companies, NGOs, experts working in the market of information and communication technologies. The Club members are 45 companies, including Ukrainian divisions of NOKIA, Cisco, Samsung and Huawei, the largest association of IT companies IT Association Ukraine, Vodafone, and others.
