Large and medium-sized enterprises make UAH 166 B in profits

As the State Statistics Service of Ukraine informs, in January-March 2021, the pre-tax financial result of large and medium-sized enterprises amounted to UAH 166.0 billion in profit, while in the same period in 2020 their losses amounted to UAH 4.9 billion. Profitable large and medium-sized enterprises made UAH 218.6 billion in gains for the first quarter of 2021 (up 9.4% compared to January-March 2020); unprofitable large and medium-sized enterprises suffered losses of UAH 52.6 billion (3.9 times less).

In general, the share of unprofitable enterprises among large and medium-sized enterprises in January-March 2021 was 27.8% (for the same period in 2020 – 40.8%).

As reported, according to the State Statistics Service, large and medium-sized enterprises of Ukraine reaped a total of UAH 264.4 billion in profit in 2020, down 40.8% compared to 2019.
