The funds will be used to improve the quality and efficiency of work in medical institutions that belong to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, help people who are deprived of their liberty, help the wounded and sick, provide medical assistance and physical rehabilitation measures, and introduce community support initiatives, etc." Reznikov said.

He noted that Japan, together with the UN and the ICRC, is already organizing a number of important projects in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, namely: 400 houses damaged by the hostilities have already been restored; projects have been implemented in the field of youth education, community development; assistance has been provided in the field of health protection of the military personnel in Ukraine.

Reznikov thanked the Japanese government, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the UN for their unconditional and consistent support to Ukraine. He also thanked for humanitarian aid for Donetsk and Luhansk regions, some areas of which are still under occupation, where people suffer from the consequences of Russia's armed aggression.
