France will sign four strategic intergovernmental agreements with Ukraine at a total value of EUR 1.3 billion.

"In fact, during my visit [to Kyiv], France will sign four strategic intergovernmental agreements with Ukraine at a total value of EUR 1.3 billion. It is very telling! And I want to note one key point: these projects will help improve the living conditions of Ukrainians. The agreements concern drinking water, mobility, safety, and civil protection," Minister of Economy, Finance and Reconstruction of France Bruno Le Maire said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, the economic relations between France and Ukraine are very dynamic.

"I want to cite one figure: in 2020, France-Ukraine total trade reached EUR 1.6 billion. It’s a very important sum that remains stable despite the crisis associated with COVID-19. Now we want to strengthen and accelerate economic cooperation between our two countries. This is the purpose of my visit to Kyiv," Le Maire added.

As reported, Minister of Economy, Finance and Reconstruction of France Bruno Le Maire will make a visit to Kyiv on Thursday, May 13.
