Ukraine implementing 40 projects in cooperation with IFIs

Ukraine is implementing 40 projects in cooperation with international financial institutions (IFIs), the press service of the Finance Ministry has reported referring to data as of March 1, 2021.

The total amount of loans under joint programs is EUR 5.66 billion and USD 3.09 billion. Of these funds, USD 1.73 billion and EUR 1.69 billion have been already disbursed.

In addition, 18 joint investment projects worth USD 590 million and EUR 2.15 billion are at the stage of development.

The Finance Ministry also noted that on March 10, representatives of the Finance Ministry and the World Bank conducted a joint online training on the approach and methods of establishing and monitoring performance indicators for economic and social development projects, for which the state raises loans from international financial institutions. These institutions include International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), European Investment Bank (EIB), Nordic Environmental Finance Corporation (NEFCO), Credit Institute for Reconstruction (KfW) and European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom).
