Government approves draft act on Economic Security Strategy until 2025

As an Ukrinform correspondent reports, the decision was made at the Cabinet’s meeting.

"The draft act is prepared to define the strategic course of state policy in the field of economic security, meet basic national economic interests and ensure economic sovereignty. As a result of the strategy implementation, a transparent system of continuous monitoring of economic stability and annual assessment of economic security will be introduced. The efficiency of implementation of state policy in the field of economic security and political responsibility for its results will be raised.

As part of the strategy, a set of economic security indicators is approved, which defines critical limits and targets according to the indicators of main components of economic security," Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Ihor Petrashko said.

In the context of meeting the main national economic interests, the implementation of the strategy is focused on the creation of a sustainable competitive, socially responsible market economy and conditions for the advanced development of scientific and technological potential of the country.
