Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has refunded more than USD 29 million to its passengers for canceled flights due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the airline's press service reports.

"In February 2021, the company processed about 15,000 requests and made a refund of USD 2.5 million. In total, during the 11 months of its activity during the pandemic from April 2020 to February 2021 inclusive, UIA returned more than USD 29 million to passengers," the statement reads.

The airline noted that work in this direction is carried out systematically, despite the shortage of human resources due to falling levels of traffic due to the coronavirus crisis.
