To revive the Ukrainian villages, it is primarily necessary to create jobs and restore infrastructure in rural areas. The work in this direction has already begun.

“We are currently preparing 1,600 infrastructure projects for villages. The program is currently designed for 9-10 years. We will implement half, 500-600 [projects], in the next three and a half or four years," Zelensky said in an interview with TV channels as part of the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30. Culture. Media. Tourism".

As he stated, young people and people of working age now leave the villages due to lack of work. Other spheres of life in rural settlements are also gradually declining as older and elderly people do not need preschool and school educational institutions, etc.

The Head of State noted that the authorities had already gained the first experience of restoring life in the villages near the border crossing points on the contact line in Shchastia, Novotroitske, Stanytsia Luhanska in Donbas. The centers of administrative services, bank departments and post offices, shops, pharmacies were opened there, and people, including those from neighboring villages, now actively visit them.

According to the President, the example of these border crossing points shows what services work and what is missing and should be added. In particular, there is a need for opening information centers, which will provide the necessary information and host various events, recreational areas, park areas and playgrounds.

Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the implementation of such projects could be financed by sponsors or with the support of the business.

According to the President, an economic program, a program for the development of agro-industrial complex related to small farms, a program for the development of animal husbandry are also being developed for the villages.

"I think we will implement this reform. We need a lot of money, but we have a great desire, "Zelensky stressed.
