Ukraine, Hungary held first meeting of joint commission on border traffic control

The Ukrainian-Hungarian Joint Commission on Border Traffic Control held its constituent meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Hungary Liubov Nepop wrote on Facebook.

"During the meeting, important issues of increasing capacity, reducing queues, modernization of existing and construction of new crossing points were discussed, as well as prospects for the introduction of joint border control on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border," she wrote.

As reported, following the results of Ukrainian-Hungarian consultations on joint border control with EU countries, which took place on October 22, 2020 by video conferencing, the Hungarian side initiated the establishment of the Ukrainian-Hungarian Joint Commission on Border Traffic Control and further launch of its practical activities.
