Ukraine can offer U.S. business interesting prospects of investing in IT sector, high technology in agriculture, medicine, military and defense sector.

As newly appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova said in an interview with Ukrinform, there are several sectors in which Ukraine would be interested in receiving more investment and in which, in her opinion, the country could offer the American business very interesting prospects.

"These are, of course, innovations - I mean not only ‘pure’ IT sphere, but primarily high technologies in other fields: agrotechnology, medicine, as well as the military and defense sector," Markarova said.

She added that it is too early to talk about specific projects.

"But we already discuss a number of projects in defense sector, energy, mining, agriculture, where I hope we will be able to show progress during the first six to twelve months of work," the Ambassador forecasted.

As reported, on February 25, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree appointing Oksana Markarova as the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States.
