During an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with business representatives who have joint projects with the UAE in the fields of energy, education, and advanced technologies.

The meeting took place in Abu Dhabi's Masdar City on February 14, Ukrinform reports with reference to the press service of the head of state.

"Zelensky stressed that Ukraine as a state has taken responsibility for these businesses and their development in the UAE," the report reads.

The president noted that he had a very warm and productive meeting with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Both countries are exploring opportunities to expand and strengthen contacts.

"Now is the time of great hopes and a great reboot of relations between our countries," he said.

Zelensky stressed that we are building a strong Ukraine, which means not only a state that can protect itself, but also an economically strong state. In this direction, the state and business must cooperate and support each other.

"We will protect Ukrainian business, it is very important for us. But Ukrainian business also needs to support and protect its state. Only together can we do something modern, like this city of advanced technologies," the head of state added.

As Ukrinform reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife Olena Zelenska are on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates on February 14-15.
