Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said that the Ukrainian government aims to raise the average salary in Ukraine to the level of Poland or Slovakia by 2030.

"In December 2020, real salaries increased by 10% compared to December 2019 and amounted to UAH 14,200. The most important task set by the Government is to raise average salaries by 2030 to the level of our neighbors from Poland or Slovakia," Shmyhal wrote on his Facebook page.

As to the pension indexation, the prime minister reminded that the government had already approved a bill according to which the indexation of pension payments would be carried out annually from March 1. The draft law also provides for early granting of pensions to parents of children with severe or rare diseases, who have not been diagnosed with a disability.

Shmyhal also reminded that the Government had approved a package of bills on a new approach to calculating the subsistence level, which the Ministry of Social Policy had developed to implement the relevant decree of the President of Ukraine.
