The National Economic Strategy of Ukraine until 2030 provides support for small and medium-sized businesses, including expanding access to finance and simplifying the regulatory environment.

Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Ihor Petrashko said this during the second meeting of the public discussion of the draft National Economic Strategy of Ukraine until 2030, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Among the key vectors of the National Economic Strategy until 2030 are the development of a business support ecosystem, expanding access to finance and simplifying the regulatory environment. These three blocks influence the development of every entrepreneur," Petrashko said.

He noted that the challenges of the global and national recession associated with the coronavirus crisis will worsen the prospects for business development, which, in turn, requires compensation mechanisms from the state.

"We are talking about simplifying the conditions for doing business, as well as the introduction of various support programs," the minister said.

He reminded that the government had taken a number of measures, namely: the introduction of a moratorium on business inspections, deregulation of the conditions for doing business, and digitalization of processes.

The minister also noted that the state program "Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%" will continue to expand to become more affordable for small and medium-sized businesses.

The National Economic Strategy of Ukraine until 2030 is being developed by a working group of the Cabinet of Ministers on the platform of the Center for Economic Recovery. Discussions on the draft National Economic Strategy of Ukraine until 2030 began on January 22 and will last until February 10.
