Ukraine will soon join two alliances, namely the European Battery Alliance and the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance, as part of a European Green Deal initiative.

Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna said this during a meeting of the interdepartmental working group on joining the green deal, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I am glad to confirm that the dialogue at the highest political level has contributed to the fact that Ukraine is a member of the European Raw Materials Alliance. In the near future, we expect Ukraine to join the battery and hydrogen alliances [the European Battery Alliance and the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance]," Stefanishyna said.

According to her, joining intersectoral alliances is a new EU policy towards third countries within the framework of the green deal. From the very first day, Ukraine has been an active participant in the development and formation of all EU policies as part of the green deal.
