From the beginning of the 2020/2021 marketing year (July 1, 2020) till January 15, 2021, Ukraine exported 27.2 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops, the press service of the Economy Ministry reports referring to data from the State Customs Service.

In particular, Ukraine exported 12.6 million tonnes of wheat; 3.9 million tonnes of barely; 1.7 thousand tonnes of rye; 10.3 million tonnes of corn; and 81.5 thousand tonnes of flour.

“The ministry regularly monitors the grain market and constantly informs market operators about the current export volumes. In the current 2020/2021 marketing year, 12.6 million tonnes of wheat have already been exported. This is fully consistent with the planned dynamics, which we agreed with the relevant associations by signing the corresponding annex to the memorandum of understanding on the grain market," Minister for Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Ihor Petrashko said.

As Ukrinform reported, Ukraine harvested 65.4 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops in 2020; 75.1 million tonnes – in 2019; and 70.1 million tonnes – in 2018.
