International reserves reached USD 29.1B as of Jan. 1 – NBU

International reserves at the end of 2020 increased by 15% and reached USD 29.133 billion as of January 1, 2021, according to the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

At the end of 2020, Ukraine's international reserves increased by 15%. As of January 1, 2021, they reached USD 29.133 billion (in equivalent). This is a record amount of reserves over the last eight years (a larger amount was recorded in September 2012). The current amount of reserves corresponds to the forecast of the National Bank, published in the Inflation Report for October 2020.

As Ukrinform reported, according to preliminary data as of December 1, 2020, Ukraine's international reserves amounted to USD 26,135.7 million (in equivalent).
