The government has approved amendments to the state target program for the development of airports for the period up to 2023, which update and define the tasks and activities required to bring the airport infrastructure in line with international standards, according to Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Kryklii.

“Changes to the State Target Program for the Development of Airports until 2023, approved at a government meeting today, will ensure the sustainable development of the Ukrainian aviation industry, increase passenger traffic at our airports, as well as turn Ukraine into an important and developed air hub in Europe. I thank my colleagues for the decision made,” the minister said on Monday, December 28.

As reported, the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry will continue to modernize regional airports in 2021. UAH 2.4 billion envisaged in the state budget for next year will be allocated for their development.
