NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine will raise the gas price by 14% for households in January 2021, according to the company’s press service.

In January 2021, the gas price for households will amount to UAH 7.22 per cubic meter under the Monthly tariff, excluding costs for distribution, which is 14% higher than in December 2020.

In December 2020, the gas price for households totals UAH 6.33 per cubic meter.

According to the company, gas tariffs will grow due to “a seasonal factor and an increase in the wholesale price of natural gas." However, the company reminds that such a price in January "traditionally remains lower than the market price on average."

As reported by Ukrinform, on October 27, Naftogaz set the November price for gas for households at the level of UAH 6.33 per cubic meter under the Monthly tariff, which is 34% more than in October (UAH 4.7 per cubic meter).

Previously, Naftogaz raised gas prices for heat producers. In December, gas prices for heat producers rose by 13.5%, up to UAH 6,103.10 per 1,000 cubic meters.
