Ukraine's state budget could be revised after Q1, 2021 - Shmyhal
According to an Ukrinform correspondent, he said this at a government meeting on Wednesday, December 23.
"An important philosophy of this budget [for 2021] is that it remains realistic and balanced. If we see an increase in the implementation of state revenues, the budget could then be revised after the first quarter," Shmyhal said.
In particular, according to him, the state budget could be reviewed in terms of increasing some social benefits.
"That is, all the money that we, as a state, earn above the target will be spent on salaries and social benefits," Shmyhal said.
On December 15, the Verkhovna Rada approved Ukraine's state budget for 2021, with revenues projected at UAH 1.092 trillion, expenditures at UAH 1.328 trillion, and the budget deficit at 5.5% of GDP.
