The new placement of domestic government bonds by the Finance Ministry may help strength the hryvnia, according to a weekly forecast made by Alpari.
The company reminds that the Finance Ministry will conduct a new placement of domestic government bonds on Tuesday. This, according to Alpari experts, could help strengthen the hryvnia.
Over the past week, the exchange rate of the national currency on the interbank market reached UAH 28.00 for the U.S. dollar. The official exchange rate of the hryvnia set by the NBU rose from UAH 27.96 for the U.S. dollar up to UAH 27.82 for the U.S. dollar.
As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine completed the placement of additional Eurobonds in the amount of $600 million with a yield of 7.253% and maturing in 2033, the total outstanding amount of bonds is $2.6 billion.
