PM Shmyhal: Expenditures on healthcare projected at UAH 161B in 2021

Expenditures on the healthcare sector have been projected at UAH 161 billion in the state budget for 2021.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has stated at a government meeting on December 2, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The budget is realistic to implement and balanced in terms of revenues and expenditures. The deficit has been reduced to 5.5%. All programs included in the draft budget are fully funded. First, it is the healthcare sector. Next year we will have record expenditures of UAH 161 billion, which is UAH 30 billion more than this year and almost UAH 65 billion more than in 2019… Salaries of all health workers will be grow by 30% next year,” he said.

Earlier, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov stated that UAH 286 billion is needed to implement the healthcare reform next year.
