The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has approved as a basis and as a whole the law postponing mandatory use of registrars of settlement transactions for some individual entrepreneurs for the period of one year.

A total of 319 MPs supported the relevant law “On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and Other Laws of Ukraine on Liberalization of the Use of Registrars of Settlement Operations (RSO) by Unified Tax Payers and Abolition of the Compensation Mechanism for Buyers (Consumers) on Complaints of Violation of Settlement Transactions" (No.4439-d).

The law provides for the postponement of mandatory use of registrars of settlement operations (software registrars of settlement operations) until January 1, 2022 for individual entrepreneurs who are unified tax payers of  Groups 2, 3, 4 and whose income during the calendar year does not exceed the income limit established for unified tax payers of Group 1, except for those who work in the sectors with significant risks of tax evasion.

The law extends for a year, until January 1, 2022, the application of reduced financial sanctions for violations by economic entities of certain requirements of the law on the use of RSO during settlement operations.

As reported, on November 17, the Verkhovna Rada rejected the bill on the postponement of the introduction of cash registers for individual entrepreneurs.
