Ukraine offers Turkish companies great potential in the field of infrastructure projects, seaports and telecommunications, in the privatization of state-owned companies of energy, chemical and machinery industries.

"Major privatization of state-owned companies is planned for next year. It will cover energy, chemical and machinery industries. We also see great potential for Turkish companies in the field of infrastructure projects, seaports and telecommunications," Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said in an interview with the DHA Turkish news agency.

He stressed that favorable conditions would be created for investors.

Speaking about the signing of the Free Trade Agreement with Turkey, Shmyhal underscored the importance of taking into account the reservations expressed by business representatives.

"It is very important to create a balance and take into account the reservations expressed by business representatives. The biggest reservation which Ukrainian producers have is that Turkey will use additional protective measures to restrict imports," the Prime Minister added.

He noted that the agreement would not enter into force immediately after signing as it would take some time to complete the legal procedures.

As reported, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal began a working visit to Turkey on November 29.

Prime Minister is accompanied by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Strategic Industries Oleh Urusky, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladyslav Kryklii, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzheppar, and Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Taras Kachka.
