Ukraine's state rail operator Ukrzaliznytsia has joined First Lady Olena Zelenska's initiative to sign a declaration "Business without Barriers" between major Ukrainian and international companies so as to make travel accessible to all citizens, the company has reported on its Facebook page.

"We are glad that Ukrzaliznytsia is among the first largest state and commercial companies to join the 'Business without Barriers' initiative of Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska. A respective declaration was signed on behalf of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia by Volodymyr Zhmak, the company's chairman of the board," the report reads.

Ukrzaliznytsia said that it wants rail travel to be accessible to all passengers, and for this purpose, it has already done a lot for the comfortable stay of people with disabilities at railway stations and on trains. "Together with like-minded participants in the initiative, we continue to make rail travel more comfortable for people with limited mobility. The world is so wonderful, and each of us should see it," the company added.

On November 27, Zelenska initiated the signing of the "Business without Barriers" declaration between large Ukrainian and international companies. According to her, building a barrier-free business in Ukraine depends on the legislation and actions of the state, as well as on companies and people themselves.

The "Business without Barriers" initiative will help overcome the barriers that arise in finding employees and hiring them. It will also enable the development of products and services that are accessible to all social groups, including people with disabilities, the elderly, parents with children under the age of six, women, and young people.
