Ukrainian farmers harvest grain and leguminous crops from 96% of planted area

As of November 23, Ukrainian farmers harvested 60.9 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops from an area of 14.7 million hectares, or 96% of the forecast, according to the press service of the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture.
In total, 79.2 million tonnes of main crops have already been harvested from the area of 23.5 million hectares. The farmers have already completed the harvesting of wheat, barley, peas, millet, buckwheat, sunflower and rapeseed. The harvesting of corn and soybeans continues. Ukrainian farmers have gathered 25.2 million tonnes of corn from an area of 4.8 million hectares (89% of the forecast) and 2.7 million tonnes of soybeans from an area of 1.3 million hectares (98%).
In addition, almost 8.3 million tonnes of sugar beet have been harvested from an area of 196 thousand hectares (91% of the forecast).
As for the autumn sowing campaign, Ukrainian farmers have sown almost 7.9 million hectares with basic winter crops (96% of the forecast).
