Digital Transformation Ministry initiates reform of State Special Service of Communications

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov wrote about this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, a new concept of the state service development will strengthen cyber defense in Ukraine.

"At the initiative of the Ministry of Culture, the structure will be improved and the strategy of national security will be created. We are implementing effective management of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine," Fedorov wrote.

The reform planned for 2021-2024 will include: improvement of the regulatory framework; development of special communication systems; optimization of tasks, functions, organizational structures; support for the production of information security tools; implementation of national cryptographic security standards.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation is also preparing special programs to counter technical intelligence, modernize the government communications system, and improve the legal framework and the training system.

In addition, the ministry intends to restart the Broadcasting, Radio communications & Television Concern, which belongs to the management of the State Special Service of Communications. In particular, the ministry is planning to improve the administrative sphere, carry out the transition to electronic document management and introduce automation of processes.
