Ukrinform
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has rejected a bill on the postponement of the introduction of cash registers for sole proprietors.

According to an Ukrinform correspondent, 17 MPs voted in favour of the corresponding bill at a parliament meeting on Tuesday, November 17.

First, Chairman of the Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy Danylo Hetmantsev proposed to remove the bill from consideration and create a working group to develop a new version of the document.

In turn, Head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction Davyd Arakhamia clarified that the parliament cannot withdraw the bill, since it has begun its consideration. Therefore, he offered not to support this document during the voting and to submit a new one, prepared in the working group, so that "a new system will start working in the new year."

However, there was no unanimity in the session hall. Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Olena Kondratiuk convened a short meeting with the chairmen of parliamentary factions and groups in the parliament.

In the end, it was decided to put the bill to a vote, as a result of which the Rada rejected it, in particular 17 MPs voted in favor and 228 against the bill.

As Ukrinform reported, on November 4, the Verkhovna Rada sent a bill on the postponement of the introduction of cash registers for the simplified taxation system for repeated first reading.
