The strategy of economic development of the government-controlled territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada in the spring, the press service of the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories reports referring to Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Reznikov.

“Work on the strategy of economic development of government-controlled Donetsk and Luhansk regions is underway. The strategy will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada in the spring, along with all related acts that will ensure its implementation," said the deputy prime minister.

He noted that the strategy would focus primarily on the needs of residents and local communities they live in.

In particular, the strategy will include the development of regions in three directions: by creating conditions for attracting domestic and foreign investments, financing development from the state budget, and financing from international donors and organizations.

"The strategy will focus on creating comfortable conditions for the population and increasing jobs. The basis of economic growth should be local communities. The logic of the strategy is creating attractive conditions for business that will ensure sustainable community development through taxes," Reznikov said.
