NBU, central banks of Poland and Lithuania launch Twinning project

The central banks of Poland and Lithuania and the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) have launched a joint Twinning project “Strengthening the institutional and regulatory capacity of the National Bank of Ukraine to implement the EU–Ukraine Association Agreement”, the NBU’s press service reports.

The project will be implemented within 21 months. Its total budget is EUR 1 million (funded by the European Union).

The central banks of Poland and Lithuania will provide support to the NBU in the following areas:  development of approaches to banking supervision within the SREP (Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process); introduction of an instant payment system; improving strategic planning and process management in the central bank;  improving the process of European integration and international cooperation of the central bank.
