Ukrainian miners produced 2.6M tonnes of coal in September

In September 2020, Ukrainian mining enterprises produced 2.626 million tonnes of coal, which is 103% of the production plan, the Coal Miners Union of Ukraine reported with a reference to the Energy Ministry.

In particular, in Donetsk region, coal mining enterprises of all forms of ownership produced 1.096 million tonnes of coal, including 115.760 thousand tonnes coal extracted by state-owned mines. At the same time, the level of coal production at state-owned mines of the region decreased by 118.24 thousand tonnes compared to the planned target.

Enterprises of the Energy Ministry in Luhansk Region produced 19.81 thousand tonnes of coal, which is 35.38 thousand tonnes less than planned.

In Dnipropetrovsk region, DTEK Pavlohradvuhillia extracted 1.406 million tonnes of coal, which is 26.54 thousand tonnes less than planned.

In Lviv region, Lvivvuhillia State Enterprise produced 101.53 thousand tonnes of coal. The production plan was exceeded by 3.03 thousand tonnes.

PJSC Nadiia Mine extracted 2.64 thousand tonnes of coal. The production plan was fulfilled by 29%.

As reported, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, Ukraine produced 10.29 million tonnes of coal in the first half of 2020, which is 22.6% less than in the same period in 2019.
