President Zelensky signs law on construction products market

The law aims to harmonize the conditions of the domestic market of construction products with European rules.

The law defines the legal and organizational principles of putting into circulation or providing construction products on the market. It establishes the list of obligations of market participants and determines the principles of declaring technical indicators of construction products.

The document also sets requirements for structures and introduces mechanisms to ensure the relationship of regulatory requirements for engineering and structural systems of structures and construction products.

The law is expected to help prevent counterfeit and dangerous products from entering the domestic market, as well as introduce European approaches to placing construction products on the market.

As reported, on September 2, the Verkhovna Rada approved the Law "On the provision of construction products on the market" (No.2698), which brings the Ukrainian legislation in line with the EU standards.
