Retail trade turnover grows by 5.9% in Ukraine

In January-August 2020, the turnover of Ukrainian retail trade enterprises increased by 5.9% (in comparable prices), up to UAH 542.44 billion, compared to the same period in 2019.
“Kyiv city (UAH 124.57 billion), Dnipropetrovsk region (UAH 54.47 billion), Kyiv region (UAH 48.45 billion), Odesa region (42.75 billion UAH) became the retail turnover leaders in January-August 2020,” the State Statistics Service of Ukraine informs.
The lowest retail trade turnover for 8 months of 2020 was recorded in Luhansk region (UAH 3.81 billion), Chernivtsi region (UAH 5.06 billion), and Ternopil region (UAH 5.83 billion).
In 2019, the retail turnover of retail trade enterprises (legal entities) totaled UAH 795.20 billion, up 11.6% (in comparable prices) compared to 2018.
