Ukrainian transport enterprises record 17% fall in cargo transportation in eight months

The freight turnover of Ukrainian transport enterprises in January-August 2020 shrank by 17.1% compared to the same period in 2019, to 185.7 billion tonne-kilometers, the State Statistics Service has reported.
In total, these companies transported 382.2 million tonnes of cargo in the first eight months of 2020, or 13.4% less than in January-August 2019.
According to the State Statistics Service, the cargo turnover of Ukrainian transport enterprises in 2019 grew by 2.1% compared to 2018, to 338.9 billion tonne-kilometers.
