Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal believes that GDP growth at 4.6%, which is included in the draft state budget for 2021, is completely realistic.

He said this on the air of the TV program "Freedom of Speech of Savik Shuster" on Friday evening, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“We are already seeing growth in the third quarter. We expect such growth in the fourth quarter and next year. Despite these trends, we have thoroughly calculated them in synergy with our international partners, taken into account the analysis and macro-forecasts of international organizations, and came to a conclusion that 4.6% of GDP growth is a completely realistic forecast," the PM said.

Shmyhal reiterated that the draft state budget for 2021, submitted by the Government to the Verkhovna Rada, is well-balanced and meets the specific challenges of our time.

As Ukrinform reported, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft state budget for 2021 at an extraordinary meeting on September 14, 2020. In particular, the document envisages Ukraine’s GDP growth at 4.6% and consumer inflation at 7.3% in 2021.
