Ukraine has exported over 10 M tonnes of grain in 2020/2021 MY

July 1 - September 18, Ukraine exported 10.33 million tonnes of grain crops and legumes. Compared to the same period last year, the exports fell by 1.17 million tonnes.

“Since the start of 2020/2021 MY and as of September 18, Ukraine exported 7.0 million tonnes of wheat, 2.6 million tonnes of barley, and 44,600 tonnes of flour,” the information and analytical portal of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine informs with reference to the data of the State Customs Service of Ukraine.

As reported, the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade, and Agriculture of Ukraine and grain market participants agreed on an addendum to the grain memorandum on the maximum scope of grain exports in 2020/2021 MY. According to the document, Ukraine exports 17.5 million tonnes of wheat and 1,000 tonnes of rye this marketing year.

As of September 10, Ukrainian agricultural producers harvested 38.7 million tonnes of grain crops and legumes from 9.8 million hectares, or 64% of the projected areas, the Economic Development Ministry informs.
