Ukraine already spent UAH 22.9B to fight spread of COVID-19 – Finance Ministry

Ukraine has already used 22.9 billion from the special Fund to fight COVID-19, according to the press service of the Finance Ministry of Ukraine.

“As of September 11, UAH 22.9 billion out of UAH 66 billion was spent from the Fund to fight COVID-19. This is 35% of the total sum,” read the report.

As Ukrinform reported, on April 22, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for using money of the Fund to fight the coronavirus disease. The amount of the Fund was about UAH 65 billion. Later, the government increased the size of the Fund to UAH 66 billion.

On July 24, the government distributed UAH 66 billion the Fund for priority areas.
