Government instructs State Audit Service to check use of funds from special COVID-19 Fund

The Cabinet of Ministers has instructed the State Audit Service to conduct checks of the use of funds from the special Fund to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease, according to the press service of the Finance Ministry.
At an extraordinary meeting on September 14, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to ensure the implementation of measures of state financial control over the use of funds from the Fund to fight COVID-19.
It is noted that the transparency and efficiency of the use of funds from the Fund is one of Ukraine's commitments before the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The Finance Ministry stated it monitors on a regular basis the information on the use of funds from the Fund to fight COVID-19.
As Ukrinform reported, on April 22, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for using the money of the Fund to fight the coronavirus disease. The size of the Fund is about UAH 65 billion.
