Ukrinform
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that needed funds will be provided for the reconstruction of Sumy airport.

He said this during a speech at the presentation of the Sumy Region Development Strategy, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"We are ready to fully support the reconstruction of Sumy airport: from us - funding, from you - the project as soon as possible, as it can’t be otherwise, only the shortest terms of realization," said Zelensky.

According to him, to reveal the potential of the region, it is necessary to solve infrastructural issues, including the construction of high-quality local roads, rail passenger services and air services.

"Your region has enough advantages to be a leader in northern Ukraine. It has blacksoil, oil, gas and quartz sand reserves, a convenient location for transit, successful higher education and research institutions, vocational education institutions, as well as strong industrial parks,” Zelensky said.

As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky is on a working vist to Sumy region on Tuesday, September 8.
