Finance Ministry: UAH 5.4B spent on goods to fight spread of COVID-19

As of August 27, 2020, UAH 5.36 billion was spent on the purchase of goods and services under the simplified procedure to combat the spread of COVID-19, according to the Finance Ministry.
According to the State Treasury, as of August 27, 2020, payments totaling UAH 5.36 billion were made for the purchase of goods and services to fight the spread of COVID-19 from the budgets of all levels under the simplified procurement procedure: UAH 2.33 billion from the state budget and UAH 3.03 billion from local budgets. In August 2020, more than UAH 850 million was spent on these purposes.
As Ukrinform reported, on April 22, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for using the money of the Fund to fight the coronavirus disease. The size of the Fund is about UAH 65 billion.
