Ukraine open for economic cooperation with UAE – deputy foreign minister

"Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Senik held a meeting with Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Ukraine Eng. Salem Ahmed Al-Kaabi on August 13. The main topic of discussion was the development of economic cooperation, trade and investment between Ukraine and the UAE. The interlocutors expressed mutual interest in the implementation of joint projects in the infrastructure, energy, agricultural, scientific, technical and medical sectors," the Foreign Ministry’s press service reported.

The parties discussed the participation of a Ukrainian delegation in the Dubai Expo 2020 which will be held in the United Arab Emirates in 2021.

The deputy foreign minister expressed gratitude to the UAE for the humanitarian aid provided to Ukraine to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.

The sides stressed the need to develop bilateral political dialogue at high and highest levels and agreed to facilitate the preparation for a number of events.
