Ukraine’s steel production decreased by 6.7% in 2020

In January-July 2020, steel production in Ukraine decreased by 6.7% to 11.87 million tonnes compared to the same period last year, Ukrmetalurgprom Association of Enterprises reports.
During seven months of 2020, 11.76 million tonnes of cast iron (-1.1% compared to the same period in 2019), 11.87 million tonnes of steel (-6.7%), and 10.63 million tonnes of rolled metal products (-3.2%) were produced in Ukraine.
As Ukrinform reported, according to Ukrmetalurgprom, Ukrainian enterprises produced 20.06 million tonnes of cast iron (-2.4% compared to 2018), 20.85 million tonnes of steel (-1.2%), and 18.20 million tonnes of rolled products (-0.9%) in 2019.
