Government to attract EUR 20 mln in EU’s assistance to support SMEs

The Government of Ukraine has approved a draft agreement on financing the project "EU4BUSINESS: Support for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Ukraine."

The relevant order was adopted at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on July 1, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"To approve a draft agreement on financing the project ‘EU4BUSINESS: Support for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Ukraine.’ To authorize Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna to sign the agreement," the document reads.

As noted, the agreement provides for strengthening of sustainable entrepreneurship, competitiveness and internationalization of small and medium-sized businesses. The total budget of the agreement is EUR 20 million. Funding is provided within the framework of the EU assistance package to Ukraine to combat and eliminate the consequences of the COVID-19 epidemic.
