"The total amount of funds we will receive this month will exceed USD 3.2 billion," Shmyhal said at a press conference "100 Days of Government" on June 11, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
He explained that this amount included a tranche from the International Monetary Fund and part of macro-financial assistance from the European Union.
According to Shmyhal, the Government also plans to receive EUR 1 billion of financial assistance from the World Bank within a month.
The PM noted that after the signing of the memorandum with the IMF, almost all of Ukraine’s international financial partners confirmed their intention to provide financial assistance to the country. “Over the next month, we expect to receive all tranches from all our financial partners,” he added.
As Ukrinform reported, following the June 9 meeting, the IMF Executive Board approved an 18-month Stand-By Arrangement for Ukraine, with total access of about $5 billion. The size of the first tranche will be $2.1 billion.
